Dae-yoon Kim - Violin/Viola

Dae-yoon began his musical journey learning violin and piano at the age of five and despite whining about having to practice every day to his parents, ended up quite enjoying studying and teaching music.

Between the years of 2006 - 2012, he was under the tutelage of celebrated violinist, Elizabeth Morgan. During this period, he received both his AMusA and LMusA with distinction at the ages of 13 and 15 respectively.

Dae-yoon has traveled to Europe to receive masterclasses from world renowned violinists, Edward Melkus, Reka Szilvay, Meri Englund and Gerhard Schulz. He has also been a guest performer for the Camerata - Queensland’s Chamber Orchestra. Dae-yoon would later on decide to pursue his passions, and moved to Vienna, Austria to continue his violin studies under the guidance of Gerhard Schulz at the Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien. During this time he performed with the Akademisches Symphonie Orchester as assistant concertmaster.

Upon returning to Australia, Dae-yoon began teaching at the Dalseno String Studio while studying for his Bachelor Of Creative Technology (Audio Engineering & Sound Production) at JMC Academy which he completed in 2020.
